Michael Gough is an award winning copywriter and journalist. He has been a creative director and writer at major advertising agencies in the UK and Australia for 30 years.

As a freelancer (Scriptor Pty Ltd), he continues to provide words and ideas to advertising and design agencies in London and Australia – helping to build brands, refocus strategies and win business.

Michael has won numerous awards in Britain, US and Australia for creativity both as a writer and creative director. 

Prior to starting Scriptor, Michael was a Creative Director at JWT Melbourne for six years responsible for advertising and other communications on Kraft Foods, Hewlett Packard, Ericcson mobile phones and other brands.

Previously, he worked in the UK for 14 years, spending 10 of them as a senior writer at DMB&B London working across a range of global brands in Europe, Asia and the United States.

After completing a BA at Monash University, he joined the Herald & Weekly Times where he worked as a journalist in Melbourne and Canberra for seven years before switching to advertising at the Melbourne agency Monahan Dayman Adams.

He takes on all forms of work from company/product naming to  journalism and copywriting for television, radio, digital and print.
